The Amazfit Band 6 is a highly anticipated release. Fans of the brand are eagerly waiting with high expectations for the next installment in the range, but do we have any clues about the features of the Amazfit Band 6?
Previous Amazfit bands are complete with sports modes, AMOLED displays, and sleek designs. Alongside these premium features is the brand’s typical low price, one reason fans keep coming back for more. The bar is high for the sixth Amazfit Band.

What Can We Expect from Amazfit?
To find out what you can expect from the Amazfit Band 6, it’s a good idea to look at the previous watch to see which features feel outdated. The Amazfit Band 5 is a well-designed fitness tracker, but it was released in 2020 and the industry has already come a long way since then.
Here are some expected features and updates:
SpO2
One of the most exciting features we expect to see on the 6th Amazfit Band is SpO2 monitoring, otherwise known as blood oxygen level monitoring. SpO2 is a common feature now and many competitors on the market, including the Fitbit Charge 4, offer this feature already on their devices. It would be a huge oversight for the Amazfit Band 6 to not include this.
Increased Battery Life
Another improvement we expect is increased battery life. When a brand releases a new watch, they often improve the charging time or battery life. As this is a common update for any smartwatch, many fans hope to see this with the next release too. After all, there’s nothing better than a device that can go the distance on a single charge.
Breathing Exercises and Stress Detection
While fitness trackers are an important feature of any modern smartwatch, we can’t ignore the rising popularity of stress detection features too. We also expect the Amazfit Band 6 to include stress detection and breathing exercises that are seen on other wearables too. This feature can identify when the user’s heart rate rises and offers helpful breathing techniques to help to calm them down.
Amazon Alexa
Amazon Alexa is expected on the latest Amazfit Band device, too. This feature is expected to be built-in, allowing users to ask questions on the go using voice assistance, control smart devices, and set reminders too.

More Sports Modes
The Amazfit Band 5 has some great sports modes; however, there were only 11 to choose from. Many competitor brands offer more (for example, the Mi Band 6 includes 30 unique modes), so we expect diversity and additional modes in the next update.
Rumors about Amazfit’s New Fitness Tracker
Though we don’t know exactly what Amazfit’s new product will offer, there are already plenty of rumors floating around. Some of the rumors state that the new wearable will be very similar to the Mi Band 5 – but with more features. Unlike the Mi Band 5, the Amazfit Band 6 is set to have the Amazon Alexa feature and high-tech SpO2 sensors that we mentioned earlier.
Many fans of the band were treated to a sneak peek of the band when it was accidentally listed on AliExpress. Though this listing was promptly removed, fans quickly saved the listing description, and this fuelled more rumors about the upcoming release.
Features listed on the AliExpress description include:
- SpO2 monitors
- Amazon Alexa
- 24/7 heart rate tracking
- Female health/menstrual cycle tracking
- Stress detection
- Battery life of up to 15 days
While these potential features and improvements are exciting, we do have to remember that the listing was accidental and details could be incorrect. That being said, many of these features would make sense and would also put the Amazfit Band 6 on par with, and even ahead of, many of the wearables and trackers on the market now.
So when will we be able to see this new tracker in action?
Possible Release Date
The last installment in the Amazfit Band series was released on the 25th of October 2020. That was nearly two years ago now, so we’re hoping a new release is on the horizon.
The Amazfit Band is owned by Huawei, a company that’s in a business partnership with the Mi Band owner Xiaomi. Since the Amazfit Band is owned by the same company that owns Mi Band, we can predict a release based on the movements of each brand. For example, the last Mi Band (6) was released on the 29th of March 2021. Some fans suggest that the parent company, Huawei, likes to alternate the releases of both products.
This means we can expect an Amazfit Band 6 release within the next year. There are already rumors that the Mi Band 7 will be launched in 2023, so 2022 is likely to be the year of the Amazfit Band 6!
Of course, this data is just speculation. However, the releases for these two brands do currently fit a pattern. With this in mind, make sure you keep your eyes peeled for a new Amazfit Band 6 in the next 12 months.
Are You Ready for the Amazfit Band 6?
Though we don’t have any official data yet, we’re already excited for the Amazfit Band 6. In the past, this budget fitness tracker has been ideal for anyone who wants the latest features at a budget price, and we’re expecting this trend to continue as the brand releases its next version. Hopefully, the 6 will resemble the leaked AliExpress listing, with a range of new features that would beat many competitors in the current market. But as with so much in life, we’ll just have to wait and see.
