Good news for Fitbit Luxe lovers, it looks like the Fitbit Luxe 2 watch is on the way.
We haven’t got any official information yet, but watch fans have spotted three new watches in Fitbit’s ranks: The Sense 2, the Versa 4, and the Fitbit Luxe 2. This news comes after Google acquired the Fitbit brand. Now Fitbit is under Google’s “Mountain View” hardware division, and we’re expecting big things from the brand.
However, today we’re focusing on the possible features of the Fitbit Luxe 2. Whether you’re a Luxe fan or not, read on to see what features are receiving updates!
What Is the Fitbit Luxe?
Before we jump into the potential next model, we’ll quickly review the original Fitbit Luxe model.
Released on April 19th, 2021, the original model is nearly a year old. This fitness tracker aims to provide inspiring fitness data while looking sleek and fashionable. This is a more affordable model from the brand than many others, sitting at $149.95 for the standard model and $199.95 for the special edition.
What Improvements Are Needed?
No smartwatch is perfect. Looking at common issues with the previous version can offer hints for what possible updates and additions might be coming to the next generation of the watch.
When it comes to the Fitbit Luxe, it seems like the watch could be more accurate in health and fitness readings. Perhaps this will come in the form of a full-software update or new sensors.
Other possible areas for improvement include an improved battery life or faster charging times, improved syncing with Androids and iPhones, and updated Active Zone Minutes.
What Do We Know About the Fitbit Luxe 2?
The main rumors around the possible Fitbit releases come from the model with the codename “Nyota.” Ths upcoming smartwatch has a resolution of 124×208, the same as the original Fitbit Luxe. This strongly suggests the wearable in development is a Fitbit Luxe 2.
However, some tech sources believe this mystery wearable could be an Inspire model. This is because the Sense, Versa 3, and Inspire 2 were launched together as a trio in September 2020.
Though we have no concrete evidence yet, seeing different takes on the latest information is interesting.
Alternatives to the Fitbit Luxe
Interested in a new smartwatch and not keen on waiting for a new launch? Try some of these similar models.
Garmin Lily
Launched in January 2021, the Garmin Lily features a more feminine design. While this watch isn’t exclusively for women, the design and features don’t follow Garmin’s typical rugged aesthetic.
This watch sits at approximately $200 for the sports edition and $250 for the classic. This is more expensive than the Luxe, but Garmin is well-known for quality, accuracy, and lots of features.
Galaxy Watch Active 2
Samsung’s fitness smartwatch debuted in September 2019, and it’s been a hit ever since. Like the famous Galaxy Watch, the Galaxy Watch Active 2 mixes sleek design and modern fitness features. It also comes with a host of safety and SOS/incident detection options.
The Galaxy Watch Active 2 costs approximately $250, but this figure will vary depending on which edition you buy. While this is more expensive than a Luxe, Samsung is a popular and trusted brand, and the watch will last for years.
Looking Forward to the Fitbit Luxe 2
Though we don’t have much information about the Fitbit Luxe 2 yet, it’s an exciting concept. Hopefully, Fitbit will release information about the new launch soon.
In the new release, we hope to see things like a larger screen, improved battery life, and more advanced fitness tracking capabilities. Additionally, we would also like to see new features such as sleep tracking, heart rate monitoring, and GPS connectivity.
In the meantime, keep up to date with our smartwatch news, so you don’t miss any information or launches!
