It’s fair to say that many Honor Band lovers were disappointed when Huawei announced a China-only release for the latest Band 6 model. However, with a global release now in the pipeline, it is time to work out whether it is a wise investment or something to avoid. We took a closer look at this new budget-friendly smartwatch and have shared our findings below.
How Much Does the New Honor Band 6 Cost?
The Honor Band 6 is currently available on Amazon for $63.99. Making it a genuine bargain for smartwatch lovers.

Interestingly, the Honor Band 5 dropped in price as time went on. We would hope that the Band 6 follows this trend, meaning that you may get a bigger bargain the longer you wait to get it. However, if you are too excited to wait, you can be confident that buying one will not break the bank.
What’s the New Honor Band 6 Design Like?
The Band 6 is not a huge change in design. Similarly, it still offers a solid fitness tracker for you to use in your everyday life. However, what it does offer is a range of improvements from Band 5. Proving that they are listening to feedback from their customer base.
With the new watch, you can look forward to a 1.47-inch full screen to view, making it easier to navigate and use. However, as there is no navigational button, you will need to be confident to use the touchscreen to get to the menu item that you want to access. The impressive responsiveness of the touchscreen makes it easy to navigate around this new device.
With a full-colour AMOLED display, you can be sure that the screen will be easy to read and the features simple to access. Furthermore, you can opt to personalise your new device by swapping the bands as the mood takes you. Giving plenty of customisation options and the ability to match your new device to your outfit every day.
What Fitness Features Does it Offer?
As the Honor Band 6 is a fitness tracker, you would be crazy not to expect an upgrade in the fitness department from the Band 5. Firstly, you can expect reliable step counting, sleep tracking, and heart rate monitoring for your basic health stats, but there is a lot more to enjoy from this watch!
There are now ten different workout modes that you can choose from, including walking, biking, and jogging. We are hopeful that we will see a swim mode and possibly even a free workout mode on this device. Hopefully, making most exercises trackable without much fuss or bother.

When it comes to understanding and monitoring your progress, you can look forward to using the companion app. Presenting all your fitness stats to you, ready for analysis and comparison. The app is easy to navigate, and the data is thorough, meaning that you will be able to use the Honor Band 6 effectively when working on your health and wellbeing.
What Other Features Can I Look Forward To?
Just because the Honor Band 6 is a fitness tracker, it doesn’t stop at fitness features alone! You can also look forward to finding out the weather forecast. Allowing you the chance to plan when to head out on a run or hang the washing out to dry.
There is also the ability to control your music from the watch. Play your favourite tunes when you are enjoying a workout. Lastly, expect your new watch to give you an accurate date and time whenever you lift your wrist. Helping you be in the right place at the right time in budget style.
How Good is the Battery Life?
As the watch has not been released globally, we cannot provide a verified answer to how long the battery life can last with a single charge. However, the company claims that we can look forward to two weeks of battery before needing to plugin again.
Based upon our experience of previous Honor Bands, we are pretty confident that you can look forward to at least ten days of battery and hope that this becomes an underestimation. No matter what the final result is, you can be pretty confident that you will not have to stop to charge your new watch every day at least!

Should I Buy an Honor Band 6?
We are confident that the new Honor Band 6 will not disappoint Honor Band enthusiasts. Full-color display, a range of fitness tracking features, long battery life, and a budget price all join to make this new device seem like a pretty great deal! Lastly, you may want to compare it to the Mi Band 6 as well albeit the smaller screen size.
