The Mi Band product series from Xiaomi has dominated the fitness tracker industry for the past few years. However, Fitbit, Huawei, Realme, Oppo, and Honor are all trying hard to change the established quo in this market.

The Honor Band 6 and Huawei Band 6 devices were released in 2021. These were effectively the same gadget, with some capabilities reserved for the more expensive Huawei Band 6. These devices put Xiaomi’s offerings on the defensive, paving the way for a clash in 2022.
The Huawei Band 7 has been revealed, but it may not be the dramatic reinvention of the fitness tracker that people had hoped for. In other words, it retains many of its predecessor’s features while making a few improvements and introducing one new component.
Huawei Band 7 Design
Bezel-less display
The Huawei Band 7 features a new bezel-less view but keeps the same design as previous models. The front of the device houses a colorful 1.47-inch AMOLED display. It has a 65.23 percent screen-to-body ratio, a pixel resolution of 194 x 368, and 2.5D curved glass protection. Without much of a bezel, it’s as if the band’s beautiful AMOLED Display is floating in midair, attached to an extremely permeable wristband.
Faces
There are over 4,000 gorgeous watch faces to pick from for the Band 7, as well as the Always On Display (AOD), which displays crucial information even when the display is switched off.
Follow the moon!
With the redesigned watch face, you’ll never be far from the romance of the night thanks to the display of eight lunar phases.
Size and appearance
There has been a 10mm reduction in the thickness of the Huawei Band 7. Because of this, it is one of the thinnest fitness trackers available and should be comfortable enough to wear all the time.
Color selections this time around include obsidian black, nebula powder, wild green, and fiery red. The bracelet’s strap and body are both the same color.
Huawei Band 7 Health and Fitness Tracking
With the Huawei Band 7, you can track sleep, monitor blood oxygen levels, monitor your heart rate intelligently, track your menstrual cycle, and monitor your stress levels.
TruSport
Huawei’s own TruSport algorithm for exercise is also part of the package. Running power index, for example, is evaluated scientifically and quantitatively by the algorithm, which also offers a professional evaluation and advice to help users create bespoke training plans and proactively engage in healthy behaviors.
TruSleep
In addition, the Huawei Band 7 is compatible with the most recent TruSleep 2.0 sleep tracking system. This infrared light-based sleep detection technology was developed by Huawei over a period of four years and is widely considered the industry’s leading technology.
When it comes to blood oxygen monitoring, the Huawei Band 7 makes use of the Huawei TruRelax system. Huawei and the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Psychology have created an all-day stress tracking system.
In addition to tracking a wide range of workouts, the Huawei Band 7 now appears to be more enticing to even the most niche pursuits, as demonstrated by the increasing number of workouts.
Up to 96 sports modes can be tracked by the smart band, including cycling, running, swimming, rope-skipping, and even roller-skating. It also recognizes six sports modes with its built-in intelligence. These modes allow it to pause and resume depending on the movement status. The accelerometer and gyroscope sensors on the fitness tracker are used to accomplish this.

Huawei Band 7 Smart Features
Incoming calls and texts, weather forecasts, and music controls are all within easy reach on your Huawei Band 7 wristband, so you’re never disconnected from the things that matter most to you.
Using the band, you may even quickly snap a photo or reply to a message on your phone.
Lost your cell?
Locate your phone by playing a sound via the band.
Notifications
To turn on the display, simply press and hold the screen’s button. Then to get a quick look at the most important messages, simply touch the screen.
NFC payments
You can use your wrist to pay with near-field contactless technology.
Battery life expectancy
The Huawei Band 7 boasts a 14-day battery life under moderate use. Two weeks of battery life is an industry norm. Actual use, on the other hand, is likely to produce substantially lower results. In order to get an accurate estimate, it’s best to test the band over the course of a week of consistent use.
In high-usage cases, battery life will likely be closer to 10 days. When you’re pressed for time, Huawei quick charging can save the day with a five-minute charge that lasts for two days.
Huawei Band 7 Pricing and Availability
The Huawei Band 7 is available in two price categories.
The Huawei Band 7 is now available in China for RMB 269 (about $40). There has been no official statement on pricing outside of China, but this pricing should give us a decent sense of what to expect in terms of the NFC model’s price, which is 309 RMB ($46).
A GPS-enabled version of the Mi Band 7 has also been said to be in the works according to TechRadar, which would be a major shift in this product area. Keep checking back on Superwatches, and we’ll let you know as soon as we have more information.
