Now that it’s here, the Xiaomi Mi Band 7 has proven to be a fantastic fitness tracker. Not only that, a fashionable one too. With a sizable and well-lit display, it can now be purchased for about $50.
To make the most of the fitness tracker’s high-quality display, it’s a good idea to install a colorful clock face. Even more so, now that the anticipated Always On Display (AOD) is here, picking out a clock face is crucial.
Learn about the many Mi Band 7 watch faces, where to find them, how to install them, and how to activate the Always On function.

How many watch faces does the Mi Band 7 offer?
The Mi Band 7’s several watch faces are easy to access. Launch the Mi Fitness or Zepp App on your Apple or Google device. Then, select “Device” followed by “Internet” to switch between the local clock faces currently stored on your device and the online clock face collection.
One great feature is that there is no cost for the clock faces. They are organized into the following classes:
- Paintings
- Photos
- Fashion
- Digits
- Animal
There are currently over a hundred different clock designs to pick from. Band 7 clock faces are bright and well-designed, making good use of the oval screen, which I appreciate. However, I did notice that the analog watch face can be difficult to see. I believe this is because of the screen’s design. Xiaomi appears to be aware of the problem since digital clock faces predominate.
In contrast to the Fitbit Charge 5 clock faces, these ones are static. You cannot interact by tapping on them to see different time readings. This is all the more reason to take your time picking out the clock face that will look great in your home and serve your purposes well.
Changing the clock face on the Xiaomi Mi Band 7: a step-by-step guide
The internal storage of the Xiaomi Mi Band 7 can hold up to six different clock faces. By doing so, you may swap out the timepiece’s face without pulling out your phone. If you want to switch between the six available clock faces while on the go, hold your finger on the screen for a few seconds.
The online clock faces have a straightforward set-up process. In some cases, users could not install a clock face and were met with a few problem messages until they updated the firmware.
Choosing a watch face, you prefer and hitting “Apply” on your Mi Band is all it takes, provided the firmware is up to current. That’s the simplest explanation possible.
Always-on display
There is an Always On Display version of each of the clock faces. The “regular” design will be on the left, while the AOD design will be on the right, so you may pick the one you want.
I recommend you give the AOD layout your full attention and not hurry to implement the “regular mode” layout. You should ensure that both the AOF and active clock designs are to your liking, although the AOF clock face will be viewed far more often.
Enabling the AOD mode may indeed reduce battery life. Still, given that the battery lasts up to 14 days, I don’t see why you wouldn’t do it anyhow.
AOD mode is engaged locally on the device, not through the app. If you stick to this approach, you shouldn’t encounter any issues.
If you want to change settings on your Mi Band 7, just swipe up.
To adjust the settings, swipe up again until you see the gear symbol, and then press it.
You’ll enter the menu where “Watch Faces” is shown at the top. Select “Display & Brightness” from the menu that appears.
Select your chosen mode (Smart, Scheduled, All Day, or Off) and then hit “Always On.” The battery life will drastically decrease when the Always On Display feature is used. Therefore a warning appears before you can turn it on. We recommend the “Smart” setting, which monitors your activity throughout the day and adjusts the screen brightness and color temperature accordingly.
Here’s a quick guide on how to switch the time format on your Mi Band 7…
A few of us are veterans or adhere to the 24-hour time frame because of our experience in the armed forces. Indeed, I do. Time may be shown in a variety of formats on most watch faces.
The adjustment is made on the band itself. What has to be done is as follows:
Preferences > Select the desired time format by tapping on “Time Format” in the Watch Face & Time menu. Even the time format on your smartphone may be replicated.
Mi Band 7 quick summary
When it comes to fitness trackers, Xiaomi improves on what is already an excellent product. Period. It’s still got a bit of a stale aftertaste, though. While I appreciate improvements like a bigger AMOLED display and a longer battery life, I’d be most interested in seeing NFC, GPS, and wireless charging added to my reliable Mi or Smart Band.
After the first discount, Xiaomi has increased the price of the fitness bracelet to 60 Euros, which is, in my opinion, excessive. However, the Smart Band 7 is an excellent gadget that satisfies me as an aspiring athlete and even the pickiest among you.
Mi has upped the ante in terms of functionality by adding continuous SpO2 monitoring, enhancements to previously implemented functions, and adding more than 120 sports modes. Nevertheless, I think Mi Band 6 buyers may wait on the next model in peace. Like every year before it, Xiaomi’s Smart Band 7 is a huge success, so it shouldn’t surprise anybody else.
Check out why this is such a great mid-range contender.
