Since the Pulsar brand was first launched, the Pulsar name has been linked with technical innovations. It is widely considered one of the world’s leading watch brands. Whether you are looking for a sleek design, a sporty look, something with a leather wrist strap or a bracelet strap, the Pulsar range has a watch design for everyone. Pulsar watches offer a contemporary yet sophisticated look that is suitable for all occasions. Furthermore, their range has a selection of models to appeal to both men and women.

Who are they?
A relative newcomer into the watchmaking world, Pulsar, a brand marketed by the American Hamilton Watch Company, burst onto the scene in 1972 when they introduced the first-ever LED watch to the world timepiece market. Since that moment, design innovation became synonymous with the Pulsar brand. The design for the Pulsar watch was a collaboration between two American companies, Electro/Data Inc and Hamilton. Their first watch, priced at $2100, had an 18-carat gold case. It was the first all-electronic digital watch and digital display. The Pulsar brand was acquired in 1978 by the Japanese company Seiko Corporation, which has been around since 1881. This was to form part of their global range of electronics and watches.
Their most recent collections are as distinctive and desirable as any of the older ranges available on the market. Furthermore, they still offer a superb range of highly desirable features.
The Collections
There are three different collections of watches marketed under the Pulsar brand: Pulsar Accelerator, Pulsar Attitude and Pulsar Regular. Each of the collections is unique. They each offer a range of different features that truly sets them apart from the other watches in the Pulsar range.
Pulsar Accelerator
The Pulsar Accelerator collection contains a superb range of watches. They offer a wealth of innovative features and are all fitted with a high-quality movement manufactured by Seiko. The considerable attention to detail is what makes the Accelerator collection so special. It offers a range of chronograph watches that are ideal for those days when you want to be more active. While the collection carries several superb regular models, they also regularly release innovative special editions.
Features of note within the Accelerator collection include a good level of water resistance, between 5 and 10 bar, or 50 to 100 meters. 12- and 24-hour clock indication. Chronograph of 30 to 60 minutes (depending on the model) with an accuracy of around 1/10 split time. Alarms and even countdown features. There are also a number of different models in the collection with solar charging capability.

Many Accelerator models also offer that iconic digital display that made Pulsar so famous. Some offer both digital and analogue in a harmonious blend all on the same dial.
One additional feature that makes these watches incredibly popular is that having chosen the features an individual might want from a watch, together with the type of dial, most of the models are also available with a selection of different straps. This allows users to select from the leather strap option or a selection of metal wrapped bracelets.
Pulsar Attitude
The Attitude collection contains a stunning range of ladies watches. These are elegant timepieces that are refined in nature and feature embellished designs. Each of the watches in the Attitude collection is fitted with a high-quality Seiko movement.
A quick glance at the incredibly comprehensive selection of watches that Pulsar offer in their Attitude collection indicates that the range is not just limited to round watch faces. In addition to the traditional circular face, they also offer several more square-faced watches as well. Whilst these watches may have smaller, more feminine faces, they do not lack the innovation you will find across the entire Pulsar range. With a selection of analogue and chronograph watches, the collection also offers many models with water-resistant capabilities.
One thing that certainly appeals to wearers is the fact that each different model in the collection comes in a selection of different metals for the band and, in some cases, different face colours. So, you select a style that you like and then have the flexibility to choose how you would prefer it to look. Some of the watches even come with interchangeable straps. Offering the choice between a leather strap or metal bracelet, providing two looks in one. These little design touches are just one of the many things that make the Attitude collection so incredibly popular.
Pulsar Regular
The final collection from Pulsar is their Regular Collection. The watches that fall into this collection still offer many features that people expect from a brand like Pulsar. However, these are a little more simplified in their look. While the range does offer several digital models, the Regular collection is predominately analogue watches. A good number of the models are the more traditional dress style of watch, offering simple yet effective timekeeping capabilities.
Again, as with both of the other collections that Pulsar have put together, most of the models are available with either a leather wrist strap or a metal bracelet. A couple come with interchangeable straps offering the buyer the best of both worlds. One model, which offers great water resistance, comes with a PU strap. This is the only model across the entire Pulsar range to do so. Making it a perfect choice for those individuals who enjoy an active lifestyle.
A range of different dial colours is available with these models. So, if an individual likes a particular dial layout but not the colour, there should be a model to accommodate their individual preferences.
Some of the Regular models offer chronograph capabilities. Making this a very diverse collection with something for everyone.
Whatever your preference, there’s sure to be a Pulsar watch for you. Providing you with the perfect mix of design, innovation and accurate time-keeping.
