Sinn watches have grown in popularity over the years. They have a history that takes us back to the 60s; people still avidly collect these devices. Take a look at what we found out about this brand and check out some of their most popular watches.
The History of Sinn Watches
Founded in 1961 by Helmut Sinn, the company worked on creating cockpit clocks and chronographs for pilots. They turned their attention to watchmaking and used the skills they developed to create a timepiece that impressed watch lovers.
The company rebranded at Sinn Spezialuhren in the 90s. They combined traditional watchmaking with technological advancements to produce watches that would perform under pressure. The success of Sinn has continued, and now they sell more than 10,000 watches globally every year.
The Sinn Chronograph Watches
Since the launch, Sinn worked hard to develop trustworthy and precise chronographs useful for watches. Some of Sinn’s attempts have fared better than others, so we looked at some of their best chronograph timepieces.
The 103 St Pilot Chronograph
This watch was always made for pilots, and the materials are dependable whilst airborne. Shock-resistant acrylic glass, accurate timing, pilot’s bezel, and waterproof to 200m, this watch does not mess around.
Plus, you can choose from leather, silicone, or solid strap and even upgrade the glass to sapphire crystal for greater protection. The case is made of stainless steel, with a luminous key mark so you can tell the time at night.

The 910 Anniversary Edition
When Sinn hit the 55-year mark in 2016, they released three hundred special editions 910. This watch has many additional features that include a split-second time and a wheel chronograph that pays homage to the traditional watchmaking processes.
It has a stainless-steel case that’s beautifully decorated, so you know you’re wearing something special. There is sapphire crystal glass for ultimate protection and a stylish leather strap that provides comfort and beauty all-in-one.
The 900 Pilot Watch
When this watch released, it was noticeably larger than other watches made by the company and focused on a pilot’s needs whilst flying. This watch is stylish to look at and can be read with ease, even in complete darkness. This is possible because of the markers and hands’ luminous coating.
It also has a dehumidifying feature needed to keep it readable at all times and magnetic field protection that goes up to 80000 A/m. Tested under the most rigorous conditions, this watch is sure to back you up when you need it the most.
The Latest Watches by Sinn
Sinn is constantly pushing forward to better the products that they have already released, and so we took a look at three of the latest:
How Good is the Sinn 206 St Ar?

The basic functions include hours, minutes, seconds, date and day display, and a chronograph. It’s high in price, but the engineering makes this luxury watch worth it.
Does the Sinn 856 Offer Much for the Price?
If you prefer something more understated, then the 856 may be right for you. It has a 40mm face and comes in a stainless steel case with a black dial to make it easy to read. The hands, hours, and minute markers are in white, so it’s easier to check the time in the dark.

Are They Worth the Money?
Sinn watches are loved by several watch collectors who will tell you that the brand produced timepieces that are durable, reliable, and affordable. However, many others would share that they think the watches are overpriced for what they offer.
If you need a watch that’s useful in various settings and can be relied upon not to let you down, then a Sinn watch is not a bad choice. Perhaps the biggest issue for the brand is that they do not go out of their way to create appealing ad campaigns or try to get noticed by a larger audience. Instead, they leave their watches to do the talking.
With a small but loyal client base and a commitment to producing high-quality pieces, Sinn is a reliable brand that will provide you with a watch that you will come to depend on.
