2022 has seen many impressive smartwatches surface, and it looks like the TicWatch 4 will be joining the latest releases.
Mobvoi has teased the latest installation to the TicWatch range via emails to previous customers. Wearable experts, 9To5Google, were the first to spot the new wearable hints, and we’re excited to delve into the possible new features.
The last TicWatch wearable was released in 2020, so it’s about time for a new edition! Though the third option is excellent, the rumored ‘flagship’ wearable is already set to be even better. But, what can we expect from this new watch?
Want to know more about the TicWatch 4? Keep on reading to find out.
TicWatch 4 Possible Features
In the teaser emails, Mobvoi explains that the new wearable will offer a ‘premium design’ and will be a ‘flagship’ watch.
We’re expecting premium features, such as:
- Built-in GPS
- NFC payments
- IP68 waterproofing
- A longer battery life – (no exact time released yet)
- Atrial fibrillation monitors
- Stress tracking
Of course, the TicWatch 3 Ultra also features stress monitors, Afib monitoring, and GPS. However, these tools will be re-imagined and optimized for the new model. Forget bugs. This watch will run smoothly.
So, it looks like we’ll be meeting a watch that sits above the rest! This is great news for anyone who’s been holding out on updating their wearable collection. The TicWatch 4 is here to satisfy any high-end watch cravings.
Will The Design Change?
Another critical element of any wearable is its design.
Mobvoi has expressed that the TicWatch 4 will come with an “improved premium design.” While this is a very vague statement, we’re unlikely to see any radical design changes.
The TicWatch range offers the same sleek design throughout, and this is a successful formula. We’ll likely be treated to the same large circular design with two side buttons on the TicWatch 4.
But watch this space for updates!
Will The TicWatch 4 Run Wear OS?
Wear OS has been another hot topic for 2022. With Wear OS 3 debuting, all new smartwatches are utilizing this unique software to impress their users. But will Mobvoi offer Wear OS 3 too?
TicWatches have always been Wear OS users, so we don’t see why they’d change now! The TicWatch 4 is coming at the perfect time to integrate with the third generation of Wear OS software. Soon, this wearable will join Fossil and the Galaxy Watch 4 as part of the Wear OS 3 gang.
Final Thoughts
While we don’t have any visuals or a confirmed release date yet, the teasers for the TicWatch 4 are already exciting. Whether you are in the market for a new wearable or not, this watch will tempt you! It’s also set to be a significant competitor for the Pixel Watch – so keep your eyes peeled for this launch.
