Made by parent-trusted brand, Little Tikes, the Tobi Robot smartwatch is perfect for children aged four years and up.
Let’s have a look at everything this smartwatch has to offer.
Tobi Robot Design
The first thing to note with the Tobi Robot smartwatch is the size. Considering it’s for small wrists, it is pretty bulky; however, this also makes it ideal for small hands to use. The case is made of hard plastic. Perfect considering it could end up in all manner of scrapes and bumps when worn by a child and is available in blue or pink. As a side note, whilst the watch is splash-proof, it is not suitable for swimming or total submersion in water. On the sides are four metal “prongs” that are tucked away (more about their use later). The large touchscreen is easy for children to interact with by tapping and swiping.
Furthermore, there are over 50 watch faces to choose from. The strap is a soft silicone. However, if your child does not want to wear the Tobi Robot on their wrist, a clothes clip is included to wear on either clothes or a backpack. This clip also converts to a watch stand when it is not in use or on charge.
Combining Fun and Education
One of the most entertaining and unique features of the Tobi Robot is when it “comes to life”. Remember those four prongs we mentioned earlier? Well, they become moving arms and legs that are part of the games and activities featured in this watch.
The many watch faces help children learn to tell the time, and there is a variety of learning and math-based puzzle games. The Tobi Robot has some great features to keep your child entertained. These include a dance activity game and an augmented reality “hide and seek” game. If friends or siblings have the same device and are close enough, they can send and receive voice and emoji messages. However, the limited connectivity distance (50ft unobstructed) ensures this is safe and controlled. To help keep children active, the Tobi Robot has a built-in pedometer and games to help keep kids moving. Furthermore, rewards are given when bonuses are unlocked.
As you would expect, the Tobi Robot has the standard smartwatch features. These include a stopwatch, timer, alarm clock, reminders and a calendar.

Tobi Robot Cameras
The Tobi Robot features two cameras. These can take selfies, videos and capture pictures. The quality isn’t excellent; however, this is a smartwatch for children and not photography experts, so it isn’t really a drawback. Children can add fun stickers to their photos, and the watch itself can store up to 3000 images or 30 minutes of video.
Above all, as the Tobi Robot does not connect to other devices such as smartphones or wi-fi, there are no security risks of images or videos being accessed.
Tobi Robot Battery Life
Little Tikes state up to five days battery life; however, this depends on usage, and after doing some research, it seems three days is about average.
Conclusion
If you are looking for a smartwatch for your child that you can be sure is safe, interactive, educational and durable, then the Tobi Robot is undoubtedly worth considering. The battery life is reasonable (once the initial excitement of constant use wears off), and it is certainly well priced. The only slight downside really is the size on little wrists. However, as we have said before, it can be worn on clothes or a backpack and needs to be quite large to enable little hands to use it.
