By Isobel Coughlan. Updated: Nov 24, 2022

Garmin Connect is one of our top fitness apps. The team behind this Garmin toolbox continually updates the app, providing new metrics and features to help you stay active. One of the best features is Garmin Connect badges, a scheme that rewards you for getting exercise.

But how do you actually earn these badges? And, where can you access these rewards?

Though we’ve already reviewed the complete Garmin Connect app for 2022, we’re taking some time to dive into Garmin Connect badges and how they work. Keep reading, whether you’re looking for a guide or just some introductory information.

About Garmin Connect

Before we jump into Garmin Connect badges, we’ll quickly introduce the app to any new Garmin users.

Garmin Connect is available as a smartphone app or online browser-based website. The content is optimized for both platforms, ensuring all users can see their fitness progress.

This platform takes the information from your Garmin smartwatch and uses it to notify you about new achievements, data trends, and how you’re progressing. Whether you’re running, cycling, or any other sport, the Connect app is here to help you reach your new personal best.

Garmin Connect Badges

So, Garmin Connect is a tool to help you analyze your health and fitness data. But where do Garmin Connect badges come in?

Garmin Connect badges are earned through hitting sports and exercise goals. When you earn a badge, points are accumulated, and these help you compete against other Garmin Connect users. If competition motivates you, badges will be your best friend. Each badge offers from 1 to 10 level points.

Which Garmin Connect Badges Are Available?

According to the Garmin Badge Database, 183 badges and 400 points are available. That’s a lot of exercises! Plus, you can earn Garmin Connect monthly goals, which provide new content that’s only available for one month.

Badges are available in all sports, including:

  • Running
  • Walking
  • Weights
  • Cycling
  • Marathons
  • Indoor cycling
  • Treadmill
  • Mindfulness

This team gets seriously creative with their content, allowing users worldwide to meet goals and celebrate with friends.

Remember, sometimes badges are only available for a limited amount of time or to commemorate events, so catch them quickly!

Where Can I View My Badges?

Earning badges but can’t find them? Follow these simple steps to view your Garmin Connect badge progress.

  • Open your Garmin Connect
  • Select ‘My Day,’ then select your user avatar
  • Select the ‘All Badges’ option on the right side of the screen

This will bring you to your badge interface. Here you should see your level, points, earned badges, available badges, and a leaderboard.

New updates

Garmin has announced that it is releasing new software updates for its different watches like the Fenix 7, Forerunner 255, Forerunner 955, Enduro 2, Tactix 7, Marq 2, and Epix 2. The users will most likely receive a link to their Connect App to download the update.
