If you loved the Garmin Venu, then you might be interested in the new Garmin Venu 2, released on the 22nd of April 2021. Check out everything we know about this new offering, and then make your mind up with the information you need!
What’s New with the Design?
The look is very similar to the original Garmin Venu. However, the design itself is classic and hasn’t aged, so it will always look great on your wrist.
The new design comes in two different size options – a 44mm with a 33mm display and a 40mm with a 27.9mm display. Interestingly, the bands on both watches are the same 18mm standard size. You can easily swap the straps with any replacement that takes your fancy.
The larger option comes in either slate with black casing or granite blue all over. The smaller device offers four colour choices with an accent-coloured bezel, including graphite with slate, light sand with light gold, mist grey with silver, and white with rose gold.
Furthermore, at the same time, Garmin released the Venu 2s. Whilst there are some minor differences, the main difference is the size. So, if you are looking for a smaller, more refined look, consider this option as well
What Features Can I Expect with the Garmin Venu 2?
The new Garmin Venu 2 comes with a touchscreen operation as well as two navigational buttons. You can choose the specific face you want and see the time with the flick of your wrist.
This watch is great for anyone that likes to be organized! With a detailed calendar view available and app notifications, you don’t need to check your phone continually throughout the day.
For day-to-day information, you can also use the watch to check the weather, listen to music, and Google Pay for touchless payment.
Health, Fitness, and Wellbeing Features
Keeping fit is important, and with the Garmin Venu 2, you can exercise on your watch. As part of the setup process, you can select your favourite activities to make them easier to track! You can also make use of the Garmin Connect app to arrange training plans to maximise workout effectiveness.
There is an accurate, in-built GPS that provides you with detailed information on workout quality. After you finish a workout, you can access a map of your activity, pace, calories burned, and heart rate.
One great feature for women is the ability to track their monthly cycle, symptoms, and mood.
Garmin Venu 2 Battery Life
The one downside to owning a Garmin Venu 2 is that you need to charge it every day. The battery lasts 22 hours with general use and may run out quickly if you use it heavily throughout the day. However, charging is simple, and if you plug in overnight, you’ll have enough juice for the whole day.
Is the Garmin Venu 2 a Good Investment?
If you’d love an adaptable watch that has powerful sports and health tracking, then the Garmin Venu 2 is a great choice! However, it is an expensive device, and if you are not going to make use of all the features available, you’re probably better off looking for a lower-spec device, check out some of these budget smartwatches. At this point in time, our opinion is that if you love the Venu range like we do, best to wait for the next model – the Venu 3 which would potentially offer a battery that lasts longer!
