Wear OS 3 has been around for nearly a year, but it’s only been readily available on the Galaxy Watch 4. But now we’ve got another option – introducing the Mont Blanc Summit 3!
The Google Pixel Watch has missed out on being the next Wear OS 3 user, as the third generation of Mont Blanc’s Summit range has taken the prize. It’s also exciting to Wear OS 3 on a non-Samsung device, showing us what different developers do with the unique software.
Are you looking for a luxury smartwatch? We’ll discuss what the Mont Blanc Summit 3 offers and how it’s integrated with Wear OS 3. Let’s go!
The Mont Blanc Summit 3
Launched on June 22nd, the Mont Blanc Summit 3 will be available from July 15th. Swiss watchmakers, Mont Blanc, are known for their integration of traditional design and modern innovations, and this trademark style is evident in the new smartwatch.
Though we don’t know every detail about the smartwatch yet, the press release has given us some exciting images of the new wearable, plus expected features.
The Mont Blanc Summit 3 offers a sleek yet classic design. With a circular watch face and a titanium case, this is 100% a premium smartwatch. Three color options are available, gray, black, and a ‘bicolor’ option.
When it comes to straps, wearers can pick between leather straps and rubber bands – allowing options for sports and daily wear.
The watch has a rotating crown and two extra buttons for an authentic look and easy use. The watch case is 42mm.
What can we expect with the Mont Blanc Summit 3?
It’s reported that the Swiss wearable will include a dedicated fitness tracking app, sleep tracking, and SpO2 sensors. So, this watch isn’t just attractive – it’ll help you get active too.
Several watch faces will be available on this wearable, and users can connect the watch to their smartphone to receive on-wrist notifications and messages.
Additional features include:
- Google Pay
- Google Maps
- Third-party Google Play apps
The watch will be powered by the Snapdragon Wear 4100+ chip, alongside the Wear OS 3 software. We don’t yet know the exact battery life of the watch, but previous Summit models last for approximately a day due to the complex features and GPS modes.
But, how much can users expect to pay for this premium wearable?
The cost of this wearable is $1290, and you’ll be able to order it from July 15th. This luxury wearable has a price tag to match, but you get what you pay for. This price includes a battery replacement service, ensuring your watch lasts for decades.
The Bottom Line
What do you think about the Mont Blanc Summit 3? This new wearable is an impressive device, and we’re excited to see Wear OS 3 in action on a non-Samsung model. Find more luxury smartwatch reviews here to see how the watch measures up.
